First UK Accredited Property Educators Pioneer Scheme

The Property Investors Bureau is pleased to announce its first four property educators who have completed the application process for accreditation. The four successful members of the Property Educators Accreditation Scheme (PEAS) are:

  • John Howard of John Howard Property Consultants
  • Ranjan Bhattacharya of Succeed in Property
  • Mark Lloyd of Property Master Academy Ltd
  • David Temple (FRICS), Property Consultant

All four educators have completed a robust and transparent application process including a six month probation period. The members have all subscribed to the PEAS Code of Practice.

PEAS is an initiative that has been borne out of the need to address major issues within the property education sector. For the first time property investors will be able to identify credible property educators with the support of PEAS.

The accreditation process itself ensures that educators provide their clients with robust money back guarantees which ensures clients money against rash purchase decisions. The PIB complaints procedure will allow dissatisfied clients to come forward and make claims against educators which the PIB will then adjudicate with the assistance of their complaints handling partner, the Property Redress Scheme.

Cyril Thomas, Chairman of the PIB said: “The property education sector is an area of high significance for the PIB and one of its main goals is to raise standards within this area. Anyone looking for property education that sees the PEAS badge on training/marketing materials, can feel confident that the educator has been through a rigorous application process and that they have a transparent money back guarantee amongst other things.”

John Howard of John Howard Property Consultants was the first property educator to submit an application to become part of PEAS and this is what he had this to say: “I’ve been in property investment for 40 years and think it’s vital that we have self-regulation in the industry. I am delighted to be a founding member and I feel it will be a great asset to property educators and investors”.

Mark Lloyd of Property Master Academy Ltd commented: “We are delighted to have received our PEAS accreditation. Our industry has been under scrutiny for a number of years and we believe this will help improve standards and transparency for those looking to invest in their property education.”

Ranjan Bhattacharya, founder of Succeed in Property said: “As a provider of property education for the last 15 years, I am delighted to be one of the founding members of this initiative. This will raise standards and will help consumers by acting as a foundation for making more informed decisions when choosing an educator.”
